About DentalCPD
Where Clinical Excellence
Meets Education
DentalCPD is the educational arm of Sunshine Coast Prosthodontics, delivering Australia's most immersive hands-on dental implant training. Our philosophy is simple — real patients, real procedures, real confidence.
Our Approach
Most implant courses rely on simulation models or cadaver labs. DentalCPD is different. Every module is built around treating real patients in a real clinical environment — supervised by a specialist prosthodontist.
Students don't just watch — they perform. From their first extraction in Module 1 through to placing immediate implants and performing sinus lifts in Module 3, every step is hands-on and mentored.
This is the training model that produces confident, competent implant clinicians — not just certificate holders.

Dr Simon Campbell
Clinical Supervisor & Mentor
Dentist — Griffith University, Dip. Orthodontics
I am a registered dentist who excelled during my studies at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. I joined Dr Innes as an associate shortly after his practice opened in 2013. I am an active member of the community and regularly teach good oral health habits to children at the local school. I have a genuine passion for providing the best possible dental care for my patients in a gentle and caring environment.
I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry, particularly orthodontics and children's dentistry, and have completed a two-year diploma in Orthodontics. I continue to attend courses all over Australia to keep up to date with the latest developments in dentistry. I am now moving into a supervisor role with Dental CPD and am very enthusiastic about mentoring and supporting dentists through their journey, helping them become great, well-trained clinicians.

Dr Niels Kirsten
Clinical Supervisor & Mentor
BDS JCU, Grad. Dip. Implantology
Dr Niels Kirsten was born and raised in Townsville. In 2010, he graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing Science at James Cook University and worked in rural communities in far North Queensland as a registered nurse. He went on to study a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at JCU, following in his father's footsteps as a dentist — growing up in a dental practice, Niels developed a strong interest in dentistry early in life.
Since graduating as a dentist in 2015, Dr Niels has completed his Graduate Diploma in Implantology. Outside of work he enjoys spending quality time with his son and catching up with his family. He is now moving into a supervisor role with Dental CPD and is very enthusiastic about mentoring and supporting dentists through their journey, helping them become great, well-trained clinicians.
