The Certificate in Implant Dentistry (SCQF Level 11) is delivered through the successful completion of Module 1 and Module 2. This program is designed for dental professionals seeking a structured, academically recognised pathway into implant dentistry while developing practical, evidence-based clinical competence.
In addition to completing Modules 1 and 2, participants must successfully complete four written assignments to be awarded the Certificate. Full assignment briefs, learning outcomes, and marking criteria are issued upon registration, ensuring clarity and academic transparency from the outset.
Course Structure
- Module 1: Foundational principles of implant dentistry
- Module 2: Advanced clinical application and treatment planning
- Academic Assessment: Four written assignments aligned to SCQF Level 11 standards
Participants registering via the website will be required to select course dates for both Module 1 and Module 2 as part of the enrolment process. Course dates and availability are outlined in the attached course schedule.

Individual Course Registration

Hands on patients-
- Take impressions Digitally and Conventionally on your given patient (supplied by us)
- Fit a final dental implant restoration on a patient
- Performed at least two atraumatic extractions on your given patient
- Socket graft your extraction sites
- Achieve primary closure with suturing techniques

The Dental CPD Diploma in Dental Implantology is excited to offer clinicians the opportunity to submit previous courses attended with DentalCPD or other external providers for RPL. You will be asked to submit details of the attended course including topics covered, modules completed, cases performed on models or on patients and number of hours spent at the course. Photo/case studies of cases completed may be required. Once submitted Dr Mitch Innes can personalise your diploma pathway based on modules we can credit partially or in full.
